It's 'An Evening With Juwita Suwito'

Yups, that's me on the keyz sessioning for Juwita. It was such great experience to be playing for a recording artiste as I get to 'up' my standard of playing compared to the usual sessions.

To those who do not already know, this was the church where I first started playing the keyboards from which I then got to know many other talented musicians along the way, from playing in the Youth Alive Malaysia and Youth Alive Negeri Sembilan (YAN9) band.

It felt really good to be able to come home and bless this church through this fund raising event though I'm currently attending City Harvest KL [http://chc.org.my/]

Anyway, we did 2 sets of songs, from Juwita's album and also some covers. The crowd sounded really amazing when they sang along to the tune of Teresa Teng's -'moon represents my heart'

Classical maestro - Jeremy Yeo did some really cool stuff on the Clavi together with his tenor. At some moments, it sounded as though he had like 2 pair of hands playing at the same time (or maybe even his toes)... *lol..

Juwita Suwito LIVE in Seremban

Juwita's rockin' it LIVE with her band in my homeland!

In a bid to raise funds for their new building project, Tabernacle Of Worship organized this one night only concert featuring

Juwita Suwito [www.juwitasuwito.com] and her band.

Arguably one of Malaysia's favorite pop singer and being Winner of Best Local English Album at the prestigious AIM (Malaysian Music Industry) Awards and Nominated for Best Female Vocal Performance, Juwita was also the vocal coach of reality TV series - Malaysian Idol, One In A Million, Mentor and LG MyStarz.

Come spend an evening being serenaded by her amazing vocals and build God's house at the same time!

PS: It's my debut performance playing the synthesizer for Juwita. *wink*

Rocking InTone

The band that has been touring around Malaysia for the past 3 weeks starting off in Church Of Praise,Ipoh, to playing for the Youth Alive INFLUENCE Conference in PJ, visiting a church & CF in Malacca, rocking the nite out in Seremban then back to HSG in KL before heading to Singapore for the Baybeats Music Festival is in Tabernacle Of Worship for 2 days not only to rock it out loud, but also to conduct a sound and music workshop.

InTone Band from Sydney consists of 5 really down to earth blokes..with Chris on Lead Vox and bass, Gil on Drums, Mark (Chris' bro) on lead guitar and James on keyz and 2nd guitar.. and of course..Michael a.k.a Mike on the mix.

These guys has written songs based on their personal life experiences and currently released a 2 track CD single recorded in a studio owned by Darlene Zscech.

Here's an interesting fact about these people who took unpaid leave just to come over to our boleh-land to minister.... they're NOT professionals ..well though they are musically..but according to them, Chris is a toilet equipment salesman (gettin' house-calls from housewives...hehe..bet ur thinkin bout some Desperate Housewives by now)... hehe.., James is in the property sector selling houses/lands etc., Gil is a chef and Mark is in the dairy industries (milking cows..hehe..)

So there ya go...normal people living normal lives who's passionate `bout music and being used by God by availing themselves.

Mark Johnston @ TOW

From Pine River, Manitoba -Canada ..comes Ps. Mark Johnston..an annointed man of God & pianist to Malaysia for the first time.

From the day he touched down (22May), he's been goin' around to churches in a few states around the peninsular before returning home to Pine River which according to him, has only a population of 85 people!! *hmmm..the size of JCG in the whole town?.. Anyway...

He was at TOW last weekend for ALL of the weekend services and also for this week's youth camp in one of the malaysian cave.. (well..not totally IN the cave, but..somewhere there-lah..)

Here's an interesting fact..
It has been rumoured that he is to be the "prince charming" for our youth director..but..hmm.. looks like "tak jadi" after all coz he doesnt like sushi !!... hehehe..

Despite this, "ah mark", as i fondly refers him, is a humorous, down-to-earth and easy going guy...Enjoys & understands just about every bit of those crappy Malaysian jokes ...and on top of that he even throws in his "stuff" (crappy jokes) to us and we all enjoyed a good laugh!

Well...he's still gonna go around a few more churches before comin bck to Sban where we would take him for some sight-seeing around KL..and watever idea that comes along then.... (a day off fr work and be a tourguide...-more pix fr the outing then) hehe..
